U.S. Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force Apprehends Fugitive in Montgomery, IL

Kendall County, IL (March 15, 2021, 4:00 PM)

A male has been taken into custody today in Montgomery, IL, after being a fugitive from Arkansas for several months.  Sixty-six-year-old Anthony Walker is facing multiple charges spanning two states. 

On March 15^th, 2021 at approximately 10:40 AM, Walker, of the 3000th block of Iron Leige Lane in Montgomery, Illinois, was apprehended by members of the United States Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.  Walker was being sought by Craighead County, Arkansas for rape/sexual intercourse of a person less than 14 years of age.  Walker had additional warrants out of Kane County for failing to appear on charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving while license suspended.  Walker is currently being held at the Kendall County Jail.  Walker has been a fugitive out of Arkansas since December of 2020 and a fugitive out of Kane County since April of 2014.

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind citizens to call Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999 to report any information regarding a fugitive’s whereabouts. Callers remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward if the information leads to the apprehension of a fugitive.  The public is reminded that criminal defendants are presumed innocent until the government is able to prove its charges in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
