Fugitive Apprehended in Aurora
Kendall County, IL (December 8, 2021, 3:00 PM)
A male has been taken into custody in Aurora, IL, after being recently featured on a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Friday Facebook post. Thirty-seven-year-old fugitive Derrick McKinney of Aurora is facing multiple charges out of Kendall County.
On December 8th, 2021 at approximately 8:00 AM, McKinney, of the 1300th block of Monomoy Street in Aurora, Illinois, was apprehended by members of the United States Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. McKinney was being sought by Kendall County for failing to appear in court on a violation of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act and driving while license revoked. McKinney was also wanted in Dupage County for failing to appear in court on a violation of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act. McKinney was also wanted out of Kane County for two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. McKinney was transported to the Kane County Jail without incident. McKinney had been a fugitive since May 17th, 2021.
