Sheriff’s Office Investigates Fatal Traffic Crash

Kendall County, IL (December 9, 2024, 10:15 AM)

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at approximately 7:07 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024, on Townhouse Road near its intersection with Roods Road in Big Grove Township.

Preliminary findings indicate that a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Joshua Nobs of Newark, IL, was traveling southeast on Townhouse Road when it left the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned. Nobs, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported by Newark Fire Protection District personnel to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted in coordination with the Grundy County Coroner’s Office.
