2025-0167, Hit and Run: On 01/15/25 at 8:47 a.m., deputies responded to Crimmin Road near Fox River Drive in Fox Township for a report of a hit and run accident. The investigation revealed that a vehicle fled the scene prior to our arrival. Deborah Kelly, a 61-year-old female from the 900 block of E. Main Street in Newark, was cited for leaving the scene of a property damage accident.  Kelly was issued a court date and released at the scene.

2025-0169, Theft: On 01/15/25 at 9:40 a.m., deputies responded to the 0-99 block of Hill View Court in Kendall Township for a report of theft. The investigation is ongoing.

2025-0171, ID Theft: On 01/15/25 at 2:06 p.m., deputies responded to the 0-99 block of W. Front Street in Big Grove Township for a report of identity theft. The investigation is ongoing.

The Sheriff's Office would like to remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
