Sheriff's Office Daily News Release 4/12/2025

2025-1132, Domestic Battery: On 04/12/25 at 8:26 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a domestic battery in Oswego Township. After investigation, a 15-year-old juvenile was charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

2025-1134, Traffic Crash with Injury: On 04/12/25 at 5:08 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries on Route 47 near Highpoint Road. A 34-year old male from Serena was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

2025-1135, Criminal Damage to Property: On 04/12/25 at 6:31 p.m., deputies responded to the 12000th block of Grove Road in Seward Township for a report of criminal damage to property.  The investigation is on-going.

2025-1136, DUI: On 04/12/25 at 5:08 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a traffic crash on Route 71 near Highpoint Road in Kendall Township. Francisco J. Torres-Mejia, a 34 year-old male from the 3000 block of 2282ND road in Serena, was arrested for driving under the influence. Torres-Mejia was issued a notice to appear.

2025-1137, Harassment by Electronic Communication: On 4/12/2025 at 7:58 p.m., deputies responded to the 1400 block of Light Road for a report of harassment through electronic communications.  The investigation is on-going.

 

The Sheriff's Office would like to remind the public that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
