Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Hires New Patrol Deputies

Kendall County, IL (May 1, 2025, 1:00 PM)

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office has hired two new deputies to fill vacancies in the Patrol Division. Izzy Mendez and Austin West were sworn in on Wednesday, April 30^th, 2025, by Undersheriff Bobby Richardson.

Deputies Mendez and West will attend the 16-week Suburban Law Enforcement Academy, which will begin on Monday, May 5^th.  Upon completion, they will be paired with experienced field training officers for a rigorous 16-week field training program.

Deputy Mendez worked in sales for several years and served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist for three years before joining the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.  Deputy West served as a medic in the U.S. Army for four years and worked in the Corrections Division at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office before transferring to the Operations Division.
