Paying Your Taxes

Estimated payments or partial payments will not be accepted. Please make your payment for the exact amount indicated on your tax bill.

2025 Property Tax Due Dates

1st Installment June 4, 2025

2nd Installment September 4, 2025

On-line

You may pay your bill on-line with your MasterCard, Discover Card, Visa or American Express until October 17, 2025.  Please note there will be a credit/debit card convenience fee added to your payment which is neither charged nor collected by the Kendall County Collector’s Office. This program is being offered through  Autoagent. You will need your PIN number and the payment amount from your tax bill to use this service. You may click on the “E-Pay” link on the Treasurer’s main page or go to https://www.govpayments.com/il_kendall   You can pay your tax bill starting May 5, 2025

Automatic withdrawal of funds (ACH)

Kendall County provides convenient and timely payment of your real estate taxes.  You will need to complete and sign an authorization form and attach a voided check.   The form is available on our web site or you can call 630-553-4124 to have one sent to you.  

By Telephone

You may pay your bill over the phone with your Discover Card, MasterCard or American Express until October 17,2025. Just call 1-630-407-1330 and follow the instructions to make a payment. Please note there will be a credit card convenience fee added to your payment which is neither charged nor collected by the Kendall County Collector’s Office.  

By Mail

Follow these steps to send your payment by mail:

  • Payments must be made in full for the installment amount or for the entire tax bill.
  • Always include your coupon (found at the bottom of your bill) for the installment(s) you are paying. (Do not send the entire bill, only the coupon.)
  • Please include your parcel number (PIN) on your check.
  • NEVER staple, paperclip or tape your check or coupon.
  • NEVER mail cash.

To avoid any late penalties, make sure your check is postmarked on or before the due date. We recommend that you take your payment inside the Post Office and have it hand cancelled at the counter. Anything postmarked after the due date will be subject to penalty at the rate of 1.5% of the installment amount per month. Your canceled check is your receipt. You may verify we have received your payment by checking our website at www.co.kendall.il.us, and search for your property either via PIN or other criteria.

At most Banks in Kendall County

You may pay your bill at most banks in Kendall County on or before the due date. It is at the Bank’s discretion to accept payments after the 1st installment due date. Banks cannot accept any payments after the second due date. You must bring your entire bill to the bank. Please be sure write you parcel number on your check to insure proper credit. In Person at the Kendall County Collector’s Office

You may pay your real estate taxes in person at the Kendall County Collector’s Office. We are located at 807 West John Street, Yorkville.  We are open during the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday, except for holidays. We also have a drop box located outside where you can drop of your payments anytime.  You must present your entire bill with your payment when paying taxes in our office. We accept cash, money orders, cashier’s checks, personal checks or business checks as a form of payment. As of October 1st we will only accept cash, money orders or cashier’s checks.
