The Kendall County Historic Preservation Commission serves to educate, identify, designate, protect, preserve and encourage restoration, rehabilitation and adaptation of properties and structures which reflect the historic, cultural artistic, social, economic, ethnic or political heritage of the United States, the State of Illinois or Kendall County. The Kendall County Historic Preservation Commission normally meets every month on the third Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. The Commission is made up of five county residents appointed by the county board to serve staggered terms. The commission, which was appointed upon the adoption of the Kendall County Historic Preservation Ordinance in May, 2008, acts in an advisory capacity to the county board.
