BROADBAND CONNECTION

Commonwealth Edison supplies power across much of Kendall County.

Ameren is a second power provider in Kendall County, providing electricity to Millbrook, Newark and Millington, as well as portions of rural Kendall County.

WATER
Municipalities in Kendall County source water from deep aquifers. The municipalities of Yorkville, Montgomery and Oswego have embarked upon a project of connecting with Lake Michigan water to ensure a stable, long-term supply, by connecting with water supplied by the DuPage Water Commission.

Sales tax: The State of Illinois sales tax rate is 5.0%. Municipalities and other entities may add to this rate.
Joliet sales tax is 1.75%
Joliet additional regional transport authority tax of 0.75%
Montgomery sales tax is 1.0%
Plainfield sales tax is 1.5%
Plano sales tax is 1.0%
Yorkville imposes a non-home rule tax of 1.0% on sales
Village of Oswego sales tax is 1.5%
Village of Oswego home rule tax is 1.25%
Kendall County sales tax is 0.5%
